Help Your Kid Become a Health MVP

The New Year always sets us in motion to be make healthier choices, eat better and exercise more. It’s easier said that done, and a good way to start (and stick to) goals is by getting the whole family involved. Kids need plenty of play and exercise daily, at least 60 minutes, and their bodies need healthy, nourishing fuel to keep the going.

Add a role model star athlete to the mix, and you have a whole new and exciting health challenge for kids (and parents) across Oklahoma. Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player Kevin Durant and Shape Your Future have teamed up to create a series of healthy challenges for kids to kick off 2015. The premise is quite simple: encouraging kids to be MVPs of their lives by eating better, moving more and staying tobacco-free.

The KD MVP Challenge includes a variety of educational and physical activities. From challenging kids to make healthy smoothies and drink more water daily to challenging them to a plank or obstacle course, KD is getting kids to take a stronger, active role in their health.
